I have been volunteering for a dog rescue organization for a little over two years now. During this time, I have fostered more than 60 dogs, and I continue to foster and rescue dogs abandoned in our area. Check out the adoptable dogs we currently have in the rescue!
My name is Liam. I am one year old. And I’m a very special dog who is looking for a forever home. You see, I wasn’t always this cute and cuddly. A year ago, when I was just four weeks old, I was found wandering the streets, in pretty bad shape. Once I was bit by something or somebody that caused neurological issues and complete blindness. But thanks to the wonderful people from the Mueller Animal Hospital and my great foster mom Sandra. I received the medical care I needed and have been on the road to recovery ever since.
Now, I’m living with my foster moms. Sandra who I learn Spanish with and Katya who speaks in Russian with me sometimes. They give me not only language classes but also all the love and attention I need. They make sure I get my medications every day to help with my anxiety and other issues. And let me tell you, I’ve come a long way since my days on the streets. I’m so much easier to maintain now, and I’m just as cute and cuddly as ever!
But as much as I love my foster moms, I know that there’s someone out there who is meant to be my forever family. Someone who will love me for who I am and give me all the care and attention I need. So, if you’re looking for a furry friend who will love you unconditionally, then I’m your guy. I promise. Come meet me and see for yourself how special I am ? Please submit an adoption application from our website https://www.rescuepaws4furryhearts.org/how-to-adopt-a-dog in order to schedule meet and greet.
This is Nelly. She has been called Stella, Cardi, and many other names that we will never know. Nelly was dumped as trash in the woods. She was COVERED in fleas and dozens of wounds. She turned out to be microchipped. Her adopter who got Nelly two years ago from the shelter of Miami decided to readopt her a year after having her because "5 dogs was too much for me and responsibility, you understand me?"...
*You can also watch this video on Instagram that her foster mom created for her so you can see a little bit more of our sweet-sweet Nelly with a very broken soul https://www.instagram.com/reel/C7POy2sOB0E/?igsh=cW1keXprODN5Y2dw
We found a post from someone who volunteered at the shelter two years ago and posted about Nelly/Stella/Cardi. Two years ago, she was active, happy, full of energy, and now she might be skittish around new people or dogs. Look at her now, hiding in the corner of the room or crate just to avoid being seen by other dogs. And gets to the ground as soon as your hand makes a weird and fast movement. She was bit probably on a daily basis by her "family"...
We now need to make sure her new family (and maybe it is you) has big hearts and will show her what it is really like to be a family dog.
Nelly is 6 years old. 62 pounds. Spayed. Fully vaccinated. Dewormed. HW negative. Fully potty trained. She literally sleeps all the time and has been the easiest foster dog for her experienced foster mom.
All Nelly needs is someone who will make her forget the abuse she went through and who will give her a soft bed that she never had (her elbows show us that she was always an outside dog), treats and belly rubs.
Please, fill out an adoption application from our website if you feel like you can give her love and the kisses she DESERVES. You can also call (561)889-0366 (Katya) if you have any questions.
